Handmade and Unique

One of our passions at The Angel Inn is provenance and this is a focal point behind many aspects of our approach. We try to reflect this in the design and careful choices we make. Just one example is the story of our dinnerware.

Handmade, artisanal, and unique - each collection from Sofia Ceramics is bespoke. After moving to London from Greece, Sofia and her team began making their unique and beautiful bespoke ceramics back in 2016.

“Each piece that we design has its own unique production process, using various methods. Our studio is equipped with 2 kilns, filled and fired every day making the next day continuously thrilling by discovering anew the now finished pieces. Our goal remains unchanged to create handmade dinnerware that is functional and beautiful with a personal feel that sets our clients’ restaurants and dining rooms apart." - Sofia Ceramics

While undertaking the search for the perfect fit for the dinnerware at The Angel Inn, head chef Ruben Aguilar Bel discovered Sofia Ceramics in London and felt they reflected his passion for the food he creates and would be perfect to display his culinary creations. As Ruben puts it:

“…we walked into the shop, and I believe we had the same feeling about their amazing work. We knew immediately that we had found what we had been searching for and that those plates would be part of The Angel Inn”.
